Brigham and Women's Hospital is looking for an Administrative Assistant II to provide intermediate-level administrative and secretarial support to an individual, group, or department. In this role, you will complete routine tasks under moderate supervision as part of a high-performing team dedicated to groundbreaking medical discoveries.
What You'll Do
- Prepare reports, meeting minutes, correspondence, and applications.
- Create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Manage schedules, arrange appointments, and coordinate itineraries.
- Coordinate meetings, travel, conference calls, and complete expense reports.
- Answer and transfer phone calls, using the phone system effectively.
- Perform transcription and proofread/edit literature and documents.
- Make contacts of a sensitive, complex, and confidential nature.
- Remain knowledgeable of business unit policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of administrative assistant or secretarial experience required.
- Proficiency with office procedures and equipment: filing, copying, scanning, printing, and faxing.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to proofread and edit written documents.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage your own time and the time of others.
- Ability to use standard office equipment.
Nice to Have
- Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma in a related field of study preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
