Ameriprise Financial is looking for an Administrative Assistant II to support the financial advisory practice by ensuring efficient operations and maintaining client accounts. You will work closely with leadership to provide executive support, manage administrative tasks, and facilitate client services.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with the EVP/Chief Operations Officer to provide executive support.
- Provide administrative support to senior officers by completing tasks, managing inquiries, and maintaining client accounts.
- Set up meetings, conferences, client seminars, and conference calls.
- Maintain bank files for branches including correspondence, contracts, audit reports, and insurance.
- Manage and maintain all bank policy information, ensuring data is up to date.
- Coordinate and manage correspondence such as letters, memos, copies, faxes, and overnight mail.
- Ensure client calls are resolved accurately and efficiently, including accepting or furnishing information and answering client questions.
- Oversee local branch equipment maintenance needs and assist when required.
- Provide clients with financial planning needs and provide guidance under direction of Advisor.
- Coordinate and provide assistance with bank events.
- Determine customers' financial services needs and prepare proposals to sell services in absence of the Advisor.
- Complete required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Broad knowledge of fields such as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance.
- Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations.
- Ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Five (5) years of related experience in the Investment Services or Insurance industry and/or Series 7 License.
