About the Role

The Odom Corporation is hiring an Administrative Assistant (officially titled Information Specialist) to provide crucial support to our sales department. You will be responsible for generating reports, maintaining data, and providing clerical assistance to sales managers and representatives, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.

What You'll Do

  • Generate and prepare various sales reports using Margin Minder, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Maintain internal sales databases and Excel spreadsheets for current information and accuracy.
  • Perform clerical duties to support customer accounts and the sales department.
  • Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Maintain and develop information on the company intranet site.
  • Maintain a procedures manual to ensure consistent performance of routines.
  • Support the setup of new retail customers, including chain stores and ownership changes.
  • Support Sales and Delivery in account re-routes and delivery day changes.
  • Support Sales in permit verification.
  • Perform regular data maintenance across all systems.

What We're Looking For

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with related experience or training in customer service; or an equivalent combination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, with problem-solving ability and strong organizational skills.
  • A high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations, requiring demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.

Nice to Have

  • Beverage distribution support experience.
  • Knowledge of Margin Minder, SQL, and Microsoft SharePoint.
