Abilene Christian University is seeking an Adjunct faculty member for its Graduate School of Theology. This role provides high-quality instruction and mentorship within a Christian academic environment committed to integrating faith and learning.
What You'll Do
- Provide high-quality instruction, direction, and support for students in classroom environments with up to 25 students.
- Facilitate student learning through varied class formats, including dividing into sections for discussions and group activities.
- Deliver rich and timely feedback on student work, balancing encouragement with constructive critique.
- Hold a minimum of two office hours weekly and be available by appointment for in-person or virtual student meetings.
- Respond promptly and helpfully to student inquiries regarding course material or academic matters outside of class.
- Enter final course grades by the specified deadline.
- Alert the department chair and/or program director to any student issues, including performance concerns or policy violations.
- Comply with all university policies and procedures as outlined in official handbooks.
- Provide constructive feedback to designated points of contact for program and course improvement.
- Attend and complete required program and faculty trainings and maintain updated credentialing records.
- Participate in departmental or team meetings, when requested, to assist in program and curriculum planning.

- Outstanding organizational and project management skills with a consistent record of meeting deadlines.
- Self-motivation with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability and willingness to learn new software applications and learning management systems.
- Openness to receiving additional training and faculty mentoring.

Team & Environment
You will join as part-time faculty within the Graduate School of Theology, reporting to the Department Chair and/or Program Director.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position based at Abilene Christian University and/or remote.
