Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions is hiring an Actuarial Supervisor to direct the development of complex actuarial and financial analyses. In this role, you will leverage data to recommend pricing strategies and loss reserving for our specialty insurance solutions.
What You'll Do
- Perform actuarial analyses to develop formulations leading to pricing strategy and loss reserving recommendations.
- Identify the best analytical approaches to determine relationships, trends, and indications.
- Identify and correct data issues to ensure analytical integrity.
- Apply growing business knowledge to assist in developing strategic business proposals and evaluating alternatives.
- Utilize internal and external data and tools to design and enhance new actuarial analyses.
- Develop and train actuarial staff with guidance.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably with emphasis in mathematics, statistics, or a similar background requiring modeling, programming, or quantitative analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of actuarial statistics and assumptions used for ratemaking, loss reserving, and forecasting.
- Four or more years of property and casualty actuarial experience.
- A near ACAS exam status.

- Salary range: $129,000 - $183,000; $162,000 - $191,000 for San Francisco, CA; Washington DC; Massachusetts based offices and the New York City metro area.

This is a hybrid position based in either Boston, MA or Plymouth, MN.
