Ameriprise Financial is offering a 10-week summer actuarial internship designed to provide real-world experience in a collaborative setting. You will join a team dedicated to fostering meaningful careers and making a difference for clients and communities.
What You'll Do
- Work on assigned projects in areas like Product Development, Actuarial Valuation, Finance, or Risk Management.
- Complete and present a self-directed, business-driven individual project to senior leaders.
- Past project examples include enhancing processes with Python, SQL, and PowerBI, building validation tools for actuarial models, and analyzing results from regulatory changes.
What We're Looking For
- Current Junior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- Graduation date of December 2026 or May/June 2027.
- Required to have passed at least one actuarial exam.
Nice to Have
- High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics.
- Proven organization skills and ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work and communicate collaboratively and constructively with others.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
