Canada Life UK is looking for an Actuarial Intern to join us for an 8-week developmental program. This role is designed for a university student to gain practical experience by supporting our actuarial team with daily tasks and contributing to short-term project work, with coaching provided throughout.
What You'll Do
- Support the Actuaries by actively contributing to the development of assigned initiatives, including suggesting ideas and ways to move forward.
- Assist in the continuous review and improvement of the department’s processes and procedures to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient service.
- Assist in the production of Actuarial reports and management information to enable informed financial decisions and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist the team in business-as-usual tasks such as managing queries and ensuring responses are made within an agreed timeframe.
What We're Looking For
- Currently entering or completing the final year of an Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- High numeracy skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good MS Office skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
