Join the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) as an Accreditation Coordinator. Reporting to the manager, accreditations, you will play a key role within the Non-Hospital Medical and Surgical Facilities Accreditation Program (NHMSFAP), upholding the College's mandate to establish and monitor standards in independent medical and surgical facilities across the province. This is a complex and varied position requiring regular interaction with internal departments and external health partners.
What You'll Do
- Work independently and collaboratively with program staff to ensure efficient departmental function.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, conferences, meetings, and special events for internal and external health partners.
- Prepare written communications on a variety of program matters.
- Manage electronic files in the CEDAR and OWL systems, and paper files per CPSBC records retention policies.
- Respond to inquiries from CPSBC staff, the public, facilities, and external offices.
- Develop administrative processes, policies, and procedures for the NHMSFAP.
- Manage and contribute to the ongoing improvement of NHMSFAP IT systems.
- Assist with NHMSFAP Committee tasks, including meeting preparation, minute-taking, and post-meeting correspondence.
- Liaise with facilities to schedule accreditation assessments and reassessments, organizing visits, documentation, and follow-up.
- Arrange accreditation team travel and accommodation.
- Work with the team and finance department to prepare accounting statements and ensure accurate assessment invoices.
- Assist accreditation teams to collate and distribute accreditation materials.
- Edit, format, proofread, and prepare final accreditation reports and certificates.
- Review, monitor, and track all clinical trial applications, preparing correspondence and follow-up.
- Assist the NHMSFAP manager with new facility applications and builds by managing enquiries, sending packages, arranging meetings, and handling documentation.
- Support continuous improvement by participating in internal audits, document management, and other quality management system elements.
What We're Looking For
- Post-secondary education with training in administrative/office management practices or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of three years of related experience.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with excellent oral and written communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of initiative, analytical and investigative skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to interpret, research, and apply complex standards and processes.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in recognizing scope of authority and protecting confidential information.
- Ability to type 70 wpm and operate a normal range of office equipment.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing using business English, verbal communication, editing, and proofreading.
Nice to Have
- Experience in medical/surgical office administration.
- Previous experience interfacing with patients or the public.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $60,689 and up.
