About the Role
The specialist will handle end-to-end billing, collections, vendor payments, and financial reporting, supporting smooth financial workflows in a regulated healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing invoices accurately and on schedule
- Monitor accounts for overdue payments and initiate follow-up procedures
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Manage vendor payment cycles and maintain up-to-date records
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Verify insurance and patient payments for accuracy
- Maintain detailed documentation for all financial transactions
- Coordinate with clinical departments to clarify billing details
- Respond to client and provider inquiries regarding account status
- Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations
- Track receivables aging and report on collection trends
- Assist in auditing processes by providing financial records
- Identify inefficiencies in billing and recommend process improvements
- Use accounting software to update and manage financial data
- Prepare reports on accounts receivable and payable metrics
- Collaborate with external partners on payment terms and disputes
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and patient data
- Follow internal controls and approval workflows for payments
- Stay current with changes in medical billing standards
- Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate financial input
