Modern Family Law is seeking an Accounts Receivable Coordinator to support our firm’s financial operations. In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, payment processing, and client communication, ensuring accurate records and timely collections while working closely with attorneys and the Finance team.
What You'll Do
- Monitor client accounts for payments, aging balances, and overdue accounts.
- Process incoming payments and accurately apply them to client accounts.
- Issue payment reminders and follow up with clients to resolve outstanding balances.
- Partner with clients to establish and manage payment plans while maintaining positive relationships.
- Collaborate with the Senior Accountant to reconcile accounts receivable at least bi-monthly.
- Serve as the primary contact for client billing and payment inquiries.
- Work with attorneys and legal staff to address billing questions and provide account visibility.
- Ensure billing and collection practices comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and cross-training to support team coverage.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant accounts receivable, billing, or finance experience.
- High-level knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, and Zoom Conferencing Technology.
- Comfort using MacBook macOS software for billing, invoicing, and reporting tasks.
- Ability to communicate professionally and interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Proactive self-starter who understands details within a larger context.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, reliability, and quick adoption of new technology.
- Excellent client service skills and ability to manage multiple matters under minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and a positive response to shifting demands.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while typing and using a computer.
- Must reside in Colorado or Texas.
- Capability to work from home with a reliable internet connection and a productive workstation.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- Experience working in a legal, professional services, or client-facing environment.
