About the Role
The Accounts Assistant will help manage day-to-day financial tasks, support month-end processes, and ensure accuracy in accounts payable and receivable functions.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries
- Support audit preparations with documentation
- Track and report on expense accruals
- Assist with payroll processing and verification
- Monitor accounts receivable and collections
- Update financial databases with transaction data
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers
- Verify expense reports for compliance
- Assist in budget preparation and tracking
- Generate financial reports for management review
- Ensure compliance with internal controls
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial files
- Respond to internal and external financial inquiries
- Support fixed asset tracking and depreciation entries
- Help implement accounting process improvements
- Assist in tax preparation documentation
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities
- Track intercompany transactions
- Review bank statements for accuracy
- Assist with credit card reconciliation
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate with team members on financial projects
