Essentia Health is hiring an Accounting Analyst I to join our Finance team. In this role, you will perform professional accounting and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP to ensure timely and actionable information for internal and external use. You will maintain corporate financial systems, provide accurate financial statements, and lead the preparation and review of general ledger activity.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and review general ledger activity and financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Oversee fixed asset and capital accounting, including capitalization and depreciation
- Manage debt and lease accounting, including compliance and reporting
- Perform tax-related work, including 990 and other required filings and reporting
- Support audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial projects while driving process improvements
- Provide input and guidance to other members of the Finance team
- Proactively identify opportunities and work on projects with moderate complexity, risk, and scope
- Lead projects, identify opportunities, and develop recommendations for process and reporting improvements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
