About the Role
The accountant will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and preparation of financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries

- Monitor cash flow and provide forecasting support

- Document financial policies and procedures
- Train staff on financial guidelines and systems
- Support grant financial reporting requirements
- Verify vendor documentation and compliance
- Review and approve expense reports
- Assist in donor audit preparations
- Maintain fixed asset registers
- Ensure proper record retention practices
- Collaborate with program teams on budget execution
- Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency
- Support year-end closing activities
- Use accounting software to generate reports
- Communicate financial updates to management
