Guided by evidence, we provide cash incentives to increase childhood vaccination rates in northern Nigeria.
We work by raising awareness about the benefits of childhood vaccinations, providing cash incentives at government clinics after children receive vaccinations, and helping improve the vaccine supply chain to ensure enough vaccines are available.
An independent randomized controlled trial found that our program led to a 108% increase in full vaccination coverage, a 62% increase in timely measles vaccination, and a 180% increase in clinics avoiding vaccine stockouts.
