LearnWorlds is looking for a meticulous Accountant to join our team and take charge of our financial and accounting operations in Cyprus. You will ensure the accuracy of our financial records and support our mission of empowering businesses and individuals through learning.
What You'll Do
- Maintain bookkeeping records and general ledger accounts, performing bank and creditor reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts for internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with external consultants and auditors.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation (direct taxation, VAT, social insurance) and ensure timely submission of all filings.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational challenges within the accounting department.
- Perform internal reviews and maintain proper supporting documentation for audits.
- Lead initiatives to enhance accounting processes, workflows, and functional efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial procedures and provide insights.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.
- Prior experience with NetSuite or SAP is essential.
- Strong IT literacy with solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- High attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities for process and functional improvements.
Nice to Have
- Big 4 experience will be considered a strong advantage.
