Avis Budget Group is hiring an Accountant - Financial Accounting to join our Budapest Business Service Center team. You will be responsible for key accounting activities, including reconciliation and period-end closing, while proactively collaborating with internal partners and departments.

What You'll Do

• Perform reconciliation and book general ledger invoices.
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including submitting booked items.
• Proactively contact partners to resolve issues and escalate problems to senior team members or the team leader when necessary.
• Maintain proactive contacts with other Financial Accounting areas, BSC departments, and partners.
• Act independently within your scope of responsibility.
• Keep deadlines and align with compliance rules, especially SOX.
• Support process improvement by sharing ideas.

What We're Looking For

• A degree in Economics, ideally with an emphasis on Finance or Accounting.
• Experience in Finance or Accounting with solid accounting knowledge.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• An analytical mindset, logical thinking, and accuracy.
• A collaborative mindset with a drive to be the best together.

Team & Environment

You will join the Financial Accounting team and report directly to the Team leader. You’ll work in a vibrant, multinational environment with over 30 nationalities at our greenest office in Budapest.
