About the Role
The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial transactions, support month-end close processes, and ensure accurate recordkeeping in compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain precise general ledger entries and account reconciliations
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing cycles
- Prepare and verify journal entries for accuracy and completeness
- Support internal and external audit procedures with documentation
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable activities
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial queries
- Track and report on operational expenses and cost centers
- Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
- Contribute to process improvements in accounting workflows
- Assist in tax preparation and filings as needed
- Oversee intercompany transaction records
- Maintain documentation for financial controls and audits
- Provide support during budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Ensure timely submission of financial reports
- Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
- Utilize accounting software for data entry and reporting
- Follow company policies and procedures for financial integrity
