Responsibilities
- Execute daily financial tasks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to Finance department policies and procedures.
- Generate monthly salary reports identifying funding sources for the CWS JC office.
- Produce monthly time and staff allocation reports for the CWS JC office.
- Prepare monthly allocation of administrative and operational expenses for the CWS JC office.
- Create and submit journal entries to interface with the master General Ledger in the Regional Finance Office for the CWS JC office.
- Maintain close collaboration with the Regional Finance Manager to ensure accurate expense posting under appropriate budget codes.
- Oversee monthly reconciliation of expenses and cash equivalent inventory (food and public transportation cards) for the CWS JC office.
- Complete and submit monthly bank reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly Expense and Revenue reports for all programs in the CWS JC office.
- Prepare monthly reimbursement requests for programs in the CWS JC office.
- Issue checks to clients and vendors for the CWS JC office.
- Prepare Quarterly Expense Reports for all programs running in the CWS JC office.
- Track client payments across all programs in the CWS JC office.
- Reconcile month-end trial balance.
- Reconcile and manage the petty cash fund.
- Develop budget analysis reports for proposed new budgets.
- Train new staff on department financial protocols, accounting software usage, chart of accounts sections, and other departmental responsibilities.
- Post financial transactions in the CWS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) accounting system.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Regional Finance Manager, JC site Director, or Regional Director.
Requirements
- College graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience with fund accounting in a non-profit environment.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional work experience, preferably in a non-profit fund accounting setting, with working knowledge of payroll processing.
- Strong analytical computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel or similar software.
- Strong computer skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented.
