Markem-Imaje, a Dover Corporation company, is hiring an Account Manager to drive revenue growth in the assigned sales territory in Bavaria. You will be responsible for managing and expanding existing customer relationships while proactively acquiring new clients.
What You'll Do
- Manage and grow revenue from new and existing customers within your assigned sales territory
- Provide application-specific consultation on a broad portfolio of marking and coding systems
- Generate repeat business from existing accounts and strategically tap into new market potential
- Plan and execute customer visits, building a strong network of relevant decision-makers
- Identify customer requirements, develop concepts, and create proposals
- Calculate and evaluate inquiries regarding technical feasibility, economic viability, and strategic alignment
- Present compelling technical and commercial solutions, negotiating prices and contracts
- Collaborate closely with internal specialist departments, particularly Project Services, Technical, and Service
- Manage projects from the proposal phase through commissioning and handover to the Customer Care Center
- Identify and exploit new revenue potential through regular market and competitor observation
- Actively network and attend relevant industry trade shows
What We're Looking For
- A completed degree or apprenticeship in business or engineering (Bachelor, Master, Diplom)
- Multiple years of proven sales success with technically complex products and solutions
- An active network or strong knowledge of relevant target markets, especially consumer goods and food industries
- Expertise in solution-based sales with a high affinity for digital topics and smart solutions
- Willingness to travel for sales activities and existing customer projects
- Proficient written and spoken English skills
- Confident use of MS Office applications
Team & Environment
You will work in close collaboration with internal specialist departments (particularly Project Services, Technical, and Service).
