VERB is looking for an Account Director to be the key strategic link between our agency and its high-profile clients. You will nurture client relationships, provide leadership, and collaborate with internal teams to drive successful project outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Independently manage client relationships and projects, proactively offering sound solutions to issues.
- Identify and echo clients’ business needs, ensuring deliverables align with their goals.
- Identify opportunities to grow accounts by proposing new solutions and services.
- Maintain a working knowledge of client brand standards and assets.
- Make strategic and proactive recommendations to clients, ensuring proper resource planning.
- Foster a positive relationship with clients through frequent, professional, and strategic communication.
- Be responsible for the overall project timeline, with support from Account Coordinators and Project Managers.
- Be responsible for overall project budgets and work to find efficiencies and keep projects within scope.
- Uphold day-to-day expectations for general project management.
- Keep senior management informed of project progress, communicating potential issues early.
- Collaborate with all relevant VERB departments, engaging subject matter experts.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to Accounts team members, assisting with onboarding.
- Own the final quality control for all client-facing deliverables.
- Identify process improvements and work with senior management to implement them.
- Be a champion for positive employee morale by encouraging and energizing the wider VERB team.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Post-secondary education in marketing, advertising, business, communications, public relations, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly and confidently present to clients and internal management.
- Experience managing multiple, simultaneous projects involving cross-functional teams with budget, schedule, and resourcing constraints.
- Previous experience successfully managing large-scale and complex projects for high-profile client portfolios.
- A strong understanding of digital marketing, web development technologies and the design lifecycle.
- Ability to mentor team members, ensuring to be responsive to questions and support career development.
- Must be comfortable working outside of regular work hours with hours sometimes extending beyond a regular work week.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Highly organized with the ability to function in a fast-paced business environment.
