National University seeks an Academic Operations Manager, Nursing to serve as a key resource for the Dean, managing the operational administration of the Nursing Department. This role coordinates department-wide functions and University processes to drive efficiency through project management and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Manage the academic operational workflow at the programmatic and department level.
- Plan, direct, and prioritize departmental activities such as Commencement, simulations, test preparation, and grant-funded projects.
- Recommend process changes to improve operational practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Associate Dean of Faculty to monitor Faculty Annual Plans and full-time faculty workloads for policy compliance.
- Serve as the point of contact for incoming student requests.
- Represent the department on committees and initiatives as assigned.
- Coordinate the collection and maintenance of required documentation for academic affairs operations.
- Monitor progress data and create departmental operations reports.
- Manage event logistics, including organizing meetings, developing project plans, and following up on action items.
- Recruit, manage, and report on ancillary department councils.
- Manage internal and external inquiries by referring them to appropriate team members.
- Serve as a liaison with other University departments on projects impacting the School.
- Monitor student retention and collaborate on initiatives to increase it.
- Participate in the collation of budget requests.
Team & Environment
This position serves as a resource for the Dean and acts as the central point of contact for full-time and part-time faculty within the Nursing Department, reporting to the Dean and supervisor.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $56,890.00 - $76,800.00
