Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper execution of approved Section 504 procedures and data tracking policies within the school district.
  • Create and manage all Section 504 documentation, including individualized plans and student eligibility lists.
  • Stay current with evolving federal and state regulations related to Section 504 compliance.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for school leaders and staff on matters involving Section 504.
  • Deliver continuous training and guidance to educators and district personnel on Section 504 protocols and data practices.
  • Assist instructors in accurately recording and maintaining records of student academic progress.
  • Serve as the communication bridge between individual schools and district-level offices for Section 504 concerns.
  • Collaborate with special education departments to assess whether 504-eligible students meet criteria for special education services.
  • Coordinate with student management systems to generate necessary paperwork for 504 eligibility meetings.
