Responsibilities
- Ensure proper execution of approved Section 504 procedures and data tracking policies within the school district.
- Create and manage all Section 504 documentation, including individualized plans and student eligibility lists.
- Stay current with evolving federal and state regulations related to Section 504 compliance.
- Act as a primary point of contact for school leaders and staff on matters involving Section 504.
- Deliver continuous training and guidance to educators and district personnel on Section 504 protocols and data practices.
- Assist instructors in accurately recording and maintaining records of student academic progress.
- Serve as the communication bridge between individual schools and district-level offices for Section 504 concerns.
- Collaborate with special education departments to assess whether 504-eligible students meet criteria for special education services.
- Coordinate with student management systems to generate necessary paperwork for 504 eligibility meetings.
