Gartner, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Process & AI Technology Expert to join our Finance Practice. You will provide research and advisory to global clients on transforming financial reporting systems using technology. Your work will create must-have insights through published research and client interaction, helping clients solve difficult challenges to achieve better performance.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a subject matter expert for transforming controllership processes, accounts payable, accounts receivable and the financial close processes.
- Guide clients in how to transform these processes using AI and automation techniques to drive processing efficiency and strategic outcomes for the office of the CFO.
- Work with a collaborative team of analysts to build authoritative research and advice addressing the priorities of senior finance leaders, focusing on the impact of AI and automation on controllership and vendor selection.
- Deliver high quality advice through face-to-face and video-based presentation and discussion with clients.
- Remain ahead of the curve on development and issues across accounting technologies and processes and adjacent areas like finance technology and transformation strategy.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in leading accounting teams supporting the record to report processes in large multinational organisations.
- Demonstrated experience transforming the financial close/accounting processes.
- Strong knowledge in working with various accounting automation vendors and technologies associated with financial accounting processes, including ERPs.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- Ability to conduct occasional travel, regionally and globally.
Nice to Have
- CPA or equivalent certification.
- Master’s degree.
