Jobgether is seeking a zOS Application Architect to provide senior technical leadership for our IBM mainframe environments. You will work remotely to ensure the stability, performance, and disaster recovery readiness of mission-critical applications, guiding technical solutions and implementing best practices.
What You'll Do
- Install, configure, and maintain IBM mainframe Data Center equipment and associated hardware configuration data (HCD).
- Manage z/OS operating systems and mainframe disaster recovery solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize applications using COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, and JCL.
- Support database management and optimization for DB2 and IMS DB environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and ensure system reliability.
- Provide technical guidance and solutions to maintain operational efficiency and system integrity.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience with IBM Z Series hardware and z/OS operating systems.
- Strong skills in COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, JCL, DB2, and IMS DB.
- Knowledge of mainframe disaster recovery and hardware configuration (HCD).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and interact professionally with diverse teams.
