The Boeing Company is hiring a Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer at the Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior level to join the 787 Mechanical Systems Design Engineering team. You will support the development and documentation of mechanical, fluid, and environmental control system components, specifically for the 787 ECS Sustaining program.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain mechanical systems detail, product detail, assembly, and installation designs (e.g., composite ducting, hydraulic tubing).
- Assist with engineering design disposition on discrepancies like rejection tags and production action requests.
- Follow documented processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacture of system commodities.
- Collect data to support the development of statements of work.
- Review functional and physical input used in the development of integrated design and system architecture.
- Assist in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems.
- Support the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements.
- Perform spatial integration at system or component level.
- Assist in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace).
- 2 or more years of professional experience working in an engineering field.
- 2 or more years of experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- 2 or more years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a diverse environment.
Nice to Have
- 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience mentoring and developing others.
- 3+ years of experience in an aerospace related role.
- 5+ years of experience working in CATIA V5 & ENOVIA toolsets.
- 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, procedures, and specifications.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical system, hydraulic fluid system, and/or environmental controls systems engineering roles.
- 2+ years of demonstrated project management skills.

- Compensation ranges: Associate Level: $76,000 - $103,500 | Mid-Level: $94,000 - $128,800 | Senior Level: $115,000 - $156,000
