The Nature Conservancy is hiring a ZCC Project Management Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Design and assist in executing projects according to established project management standards, organizational policies, and donor-specific guidelines.
  • Monitor project progress and produce both internal and external reports on ongoing initiatives.
  • Assist technical teams by applying project management approaches such as adaptive management, iterative learning, digital monitoring tools, and collaborative workflows.
  • Plan and lead virtual or in-person kickoff meetings, including developing agendas, preparing materials, and facilitating team discussions.
  • Ensure projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and aligned with donor or internal funding criteria.
  • Maintain adherence to internal protocols and external donor regulations.
  • Coordinate efforts across multidisciplinary teams to achieve strategic conservation objectives.
  • Support project budget oversight and contribute to the creation of budgets for strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee multiple complex projects, managing teams, timelines, and execution processes.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of narrative reports on project outcomes, coordinating with relevant teams during drafting.
  • Monitor grant expenditures and align financial updates between finance departments and project teams.
  • Exercise independent judgment in decision-making, drawing on analysis, experience, and situational context with minimal supervision.
  • Uphold and advocate for the organization’s Code of Conduct in all internal and external interactions, consistently reflecting its core values.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with both internal policies and external regulatory or donor requirements.

Other

  • Strong proficiency in Portuguese and English is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel within Brazil and internationally on an occasional basis.
