As a Business Development Manager, you will lead efforts to expand market presence across Europe by cultivating new client relationships and deepening engagement with existing accounts. Working closely with scientific and operational teams, you will identify high-potential opportunities, qualify leads, and guide clients through the onboarding process to meet defined sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to execute growth strategies within the EU region
- Conduct in-person meetings and outreach to prospects and current clients to uncover business potential
- Lead daily prospecting activities to generate a consistent pipeline of qualified leads
- Organize and coordinate business discussions, including agenda setting, participant alignment, and follow-up documentation
- Act as the primary contact for clients, maintaining transparent and proactive communication
- Support key accounts with project management assistance to strengthen partnerships
- Identify decision-makers and stakeholders relevant to business objectives and initiate strategic engagement
- Report on opportunities and collaborate with technical teams to develop tailored solutions
- Travel to client sites as needed, including facilitating international visits to research centers
- Work cross-functionally within the organization to align client needs with internal capabilities
- Stay current with industry trends and client landscapes to anticipate evolving demands
- Meet or exceed established sales and client acquisition goals
- Complete all required training and professional development milestones on schedule
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline, such as biology or chemistry, and bring at least three years of professional experience in a related industry setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM platforms is essential. Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and the ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively are critical to success in this role.
Experience in project management or business development is preferred, along with a proven history of meeting performance goals in client-facing roles. The position requires regular travel across Europe and the ability to represent the organization professionally in diverse environments.
