Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft is looking for a Working Student to join our research team in a role focused on machine learning for engineering applications. You will support the ‘AI-supported simulation’ team by developing and benchmarking AI models for power electronics.
What You'll Do
- Develop and benchmark Neural Network architectures like Graph Neural Networks and Transformers for engineering use cases
- Design Reinforcement Learning pipelines, including environment and algorithm development, for power electronics applications
- Improve existing Machine Learning and Reinforcement Learning workflows for speed, hyperparameter tuning, and usability
What We're Looking For
- Current student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related scientific/engineering degree program
- Hands-on experience with Python, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
- Familiarity with core Machine Learning concepts and methods
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Reinforcement Learning concepts
