Handle complex workers' compensation claims remotely across Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. In this role, you’ll manage lost time claims from intake through resolution, including cases involving litigation. You’ll serve as a key point of contact between insured parties, claimants, and internal teams, ensuring accurate information flows efficiently and documentation remains precise throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, verify, and communicate claims data promptly from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Investigate and assess claims, determining appropriate outcomes while managing disputes independently
- Resolve coverage questions through research and sound judgment, minimizing escalation needs
- Maintain detailed records in claims management systems, including settlement details and payment tracking
- Issue daily indemnity and medical benefit payments, ensuring timely financial support
- Support consistency in claims procedures and adapt practices to meet jurisdictional requirements
- Obtain and maintain required state-specific workers' compensation licensing as needed
Qualifications
You bring a high school diploma and at least 3–5 years of experience handling workers’ compensation claims. An active license in one of the target states is required, or you must be able to obtain one within three months of hire. Deep familiarity with the regulatory environments of Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Minnesota is essential.
A college degree or professional designations such as AIC or CPCU are valued and may support your growth in the role.
