Sedgwick is looking for a Workers Compensation Claims Examiner to join our team. In this role, you will analyze Workers Compensation claims to determine benefits due while ensuring ongoing adjudication aligns with service expectations, industry best practices, and specific client requirements.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and process claims through well-developed action plans to achieve timely resolution by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure.
- Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority.
- Communicate claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client.
- Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to requests for directions in a professional and timely manner.
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- SIP certification required or must be obtained within one (1) year of employment.
- California workers compensation jurisdictional knowledge.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Professional certification as applicable to line of business.

Work Mode
This is a hybrid position based in West Hills, CA, with the option to work remotely three days per week.
