Sedgwick is seeking an Assistant Claims Manager to oversee the technical and operational functions for workers compensation claims. In this remote role, you will ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices while managing staffing, training, and budgeting. You will provide leadership and quality service, with direct and/or indirect oversight of up to 25 colleagues.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the internal quality review process and provide monthly reporting.
- Ensure compliance with client internal controls, audits, service agreements, and all claims management policies, procedures, statutes, and best practices.
- Develop business plans with goals and objectives for assigned clients.
- Establish and maintain client relationships.
- Support organizational quality programs.
- Administer personnel policies and follow staffing and training standards.
- Participate in interviewing, hiring, and colleague performance development discussions.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to ensure strong team performance.
- Travel as required.
What We're Looking For
- 8 years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
- California workers compensation claims handling experience required.
- SIP certification required.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Professional certification as applicable to line of business.
