Remote Talent LATAM is looking for a WordPress Developer in Guadalajara, México. You will translate UI/UX designs into functional, responsive, and visually appealing WordPress websites. The role focuses on delivering high-quality user experiences by ensuring sites are fast, secure, and optimized, collaborating closely with designers and content managers.
What You'll Do
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and templates based on design mockups from tools like Figma, XD, or Sketch.
- Convert PSD, Figma, or HTML/CSS prototypes into fully functional WordPress pages.
- Ensure websites are responsive, accessible, and cross-browser compatible.
- Optimize front-end performance for speed, SEO, and best practices.
- Implement and customize plugins while maintaining code quality and security.
- Collaborate with designers, back-end developers, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Troubleshoot and debug front-end issues across devices and browsers.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in WordPress development.
What We're Looking For
- 4 to 7 years of experience working with WordPress.
- Strong English proficiency required for internal collaboration and occasional client interaction.
- Proficiency in HTML and JavaScript is essential.
- Strong experience with WordPress theme development and customization.
- Familiarity with popular page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
- Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles.
- Understanding of SEO best practices for front-end code.
- Basic knowledge of PHP and the WordPress template hierarchy.
- Familiarity with Git version control.
