Windward Consulting is seeking a professional to manage the maintenance and support of various monitoring tools for a critical customer. In this role, you will lead a team providing 24x7 on-call support, ensure optimal tool function, perform incident and vulnerability response, and provide technical guidance while collaborating with other IT departments.
What You'll Do
- Support production deployment and configuration of monitoring tools, including Splunk SaaS and Enterprise Security (ES), Dynatrace SaaS, Moogsoft, Logic Monitor, and the Broadcom DX product suite.
- Ensure continuous operation and performance of monitoring tools, including regular updates, incident resolution, vulnerability response, and troubleshooting.
- Supervise and mentor a team of approximately 10-20 support specialists, providing training and development opportunities.
- Offer expert advice and solutions for complex technical issues related to monitoring tools.
- Work with other IT departments to integrate monitoring tools with existing systems and processes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of tool configurations, procedures, and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT operations, with a focus on monitoring tools and systems.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
- 5+ years supporting modern server operating systems (Linux/Windows).
- Proficiency in 2+ monitoring tools across Splunk, Dynatrace, Moogsoft, Logic Monitor and the Broadcom DX product suite.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent experience/ combination of education and experience.
