About the Role
The intern will assist in gathering, organizing, and interpreting asset data to support infrastructure planning and management. Tasks include data validation, report generation, and use of technical software.
Responsibilities
- Collect and verify infrastructure asset information from various sources
- Support development of reports and dashboards for asset performance tracking
- Assist in organizing and maintaining asset databases
- Use GIS tools to map and analyze spatial asset data
- Help evaluate asset condition and lifecycle data
- Participate in meetings with project teams to understand data needs
- Support documentation of asset management processes and procedures
- Conduct data quality checks and identify inconsistencies
- Assist in preparing presentations for internal stakeholders
- Work with team members to integrate asset data into planning models
- Review engineering records to update asset inventories
- Support risk assessment activities related to infrastructure assets
- Help develop standardized templates for data entry and reporting
- Perform research on asset management best practices
- Assist in testing new tools or software used for asset tracking
- Collaborate with technical staff to interpret asset performance metrics
- Contribute to sustainability and resilience planning efforts
- Support compliance with asset data standards and guidelines
- Organize and archive project-related documentation
- Participate in training sessions on asset management systems
