Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft is hiring a Werkstudent (Student Assistant) to join the AI-supported Simulation team. You'll work on combining physics-based simulation approaches with AI frameworks to model and optimize power electronic components and systems.
What You'll Do
- Develop and benchmark neural network architectures like Graph Neural Networks and Transformers for technical applications.
- Design reinforcement learning pipelines, including environment and algorithm components, for power electronics use cases.
- Improve existing machine learning and reinforcement learning workflows, focusing on speed, hyperparameter optimization, and usability.
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related scientific/engineering field.
- Hands-on experience with Python, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Foundational knowledge in machine learning.
Nice to Have
- Ideally, knowledge of Reinforcement Learning.
