What You'll Do
- Crafting excellent products by building new features that meet the needs of clients' customers
- Working closely with your team, regularly collaborating on engineering initiatives, to continually push yourselves to be better
- Learning, growing, and mentoring the engineering team to accelerate their career growth and encourage them to progress
- Being responsible for the production operation and monitoring of products in line with SLAs
- Driving good practices within your team
- Participating in regular show and tells, promoting your work to both your department and the wider company
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience with Go (language-agnostic mindset preferred)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms
- Proven experience building custom SaaS applications and robust APIs
- Deep understanding of modern deployment pipelines, including Docker, containers, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Flux
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools to improve code quality, accelerate delivery, and enhance workflows
- Strategic problem-solver who balances innovation with pragmatic technical choices
- Thrives in dynamic production environments, managing expectations with clients and peers alike
- Strong customer focus and commitment to quality
- A true ambassador of YLD’s brand, upholding excellence and collaboration
- Excellent communication skills — able to explain complex ideas clearly and effectively
- Passionate about continuous learning, especially in applying AI to software development
Nice to Have
- Experience developing or integrating decentralised systems, data infrastructure, or distributed technologies
- Familiarity with Red Panda and multi-cloud deployment environments
