Hyundai USA is hiring a Welding Specialist to serve as the Technical Specialist for an assigned production area in our automotive manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving current production processes while coordinating new model and tooling launches.

What You'll Do

Serve as the technical expert for your assigned area during new vehicle and/or tooling launches.
Coordinate and lead project activities, including design, supplier selection, and implementation phases.
Analyze and continuously improve performance of your assigned area across safety, quality, production, cost, and human factors.
Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and other problem-solving teams as directed.
Serve as a technical expert and provide technical training to Team Members, Team Leaders, and Group Leaders.
Support daily production issues.
Continually review technical developments in your area of responsibility and propose new technology projects.
Report on current projects, progress, and issues to senior management, preparing presentations and reports as required.
Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
Meet all other requirements as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
0 – 10 years of job-related experience.
3 – 10 years of automotive assembly experience.

Nice to Have

Hemming experience.
Jigs and Fixture experience.
Robotic Welding experience.
Automotive or Sheet Metal work experience.
Tool and Die training / experience.
Data/Trend Analysis skills.
GD and T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing – Dimensional Control) knowledge.
