Alstom is hiring a Welding Engineer to serve as the primary technical authority for welding norms and specifications across our global operations. In this role, you will have the authority to stop production and will ensure compliance while driving technical support across multiple functions.
What You'll Do
- Ensure compliance with all applicable welding specifications and norms.
- Act as the technical reference in welding, with the authority to stop production.
- Provide technical support for Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Service, and Technology Transfer.
- Participate in the treatment of R.N.C. and in supplier audits.
- Represent the company during external audits (e.g., ISO 9001, ALSTOM, customer audits).
- Conduct technological watch on the evolution of standards, technology, and materials.
- Supervise staff qualifications (welding school monitor, controller, welders, operators).
- Pilot the qualification of welding procedures.
- Lead the ‘Welding Technique’ group, consisting mainly of the welding school monitor and welding controllers.
- Propose improvements to welding processes focusing on quality and cost.
What We're Looking For
- International Welding Engineer (IWE) graduate certification.
- Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology (BE/B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering.
