What You'll Do
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections on medical systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support senior engineers with equipment installations and assist in diagnosing and resolving basic technical issues.
- Communicate clearly with customers to understand concerns, provide updates, and ensure service resolution.
- Document service activities, manage parts orders, and maintain records to support efficient service cycles.
- Engage with internal teams and escalate complex issues using established protocols to ensure prompt resolution.
- Identify opportunities to support customer efficiency and contribute to service contract renewals and revenue initiatives.
- Respond to service calls independently within the first year and remain available for after-hours support as needed.
- Stay current with regulatory standards, safety requirements, and competitor developments in the healthcare technology space.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical Technology, or a related field; or equivalent military training or field experience in electronics maintenance.
- Experience using web-based applications and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to customer sites.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S., with compliance to background checks, drug testing, and customer-specific access policies.
- Residency in or near Rockford, IL, with availability for on-call rotations, including weekends.
- Strong hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and visual acuity including color and depth perception.

Work Mode
Primarily onsite at customer locations in the Rockford, IL area. Occasional remote work from home may be permitted, but regular field presence is expected.
