Westminster City Council is hiring a Web Design Tutor for its Westminster Adult Education Service (WAES). You will deliver inspiring teaching and learning experiences to help adult learners build confidence, creativity, and real-world digital skills in web design. You'll create a supportive and inclusive environment and work as part of a team dedicated to achieving service targets.
What You'll Do
- Plan and deliver engaging teaching, learning, and assessment across the web design provision.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where learners feel motivated to grow.
- Track and monitor learner progress in line with service requirements to maximise outcomes.
- Assess learners in line with qualification specifications and awarding body requirements.
- Provide tailored advice, guidance, and support to help learners progress and build confidence.
- Work closely with Managers and Course Leaders to help the service achieve its targets.
What We're Looking For
- Recent experience teaching in a post-16, further education, or adult learning setting.
- Genuine passion for helping people build confidence and practical skills.
- Ability to create inclusive, supportive learning environments.
- Comfortable using online tools and Virtual Learning Environments or open to building confidence in this area.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Solid IT skills.
- Motivation to make a difference and help people thrive.
Nice to Have
- Hold an assessor award such as A1 or TAQA, or be willing to work towards one.
- A recognised teaching qualification at Level 3.
- A relevant subject specialism at Level 3 or above.
