Prep Academy Tutors is hiring a Spanish Tutor to provide private, in-home, one-on-one academic support to students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in the Richmond area. You will deliver flexible, personalized, and curriculum-based tutoring across a range of subjects, helping students thrive.
What You'll Do
- Provide academic support based on your expertise and alignment with Virginia’s curriculum standards.
- Design and deliver customized, one-on-one tutoring sessions in a variety of subjects.
- Offer remedial or enrichment instruction tailored to each student’s specific needs.
- Assign supplemental materials to enhance student understanding and retention.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians to report on student progress and goals.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- A valid Virginia State teaching certificate (or an equivalent certificate from another state).
- Currently enrolled in a teacher certification program.
- 2+ years of experience teaching in a private, public, or charter school.
- Experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Being a Master’s or PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at a U.S. university or college.
