Responsibilities
- Direct the complete technical and programmatic process to convert prototypes and proof-of-concept systems into production-ready defense products.
- Assemble and oversee a high-performing, multidisciplinary engineering team, setting team culture, technical standards, and execution pace.
- Develop and manage the technical roadmap for system productization, including architecture definition, hardware/software integration, design for manufacturing, ruggedization, qualification testing, and supply chain strategy.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, autonomy, RF/networking, systems engineering, and manufacturing teams to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Create and implement thorough qualification and testing programs to verify performance, reliability, and safety under operational conditions.
- Assist with field testing and operational evaluation with end users, using feedback to improve system design and performance.
- Ensure all work adheres to applicable safety standards, MIL-STD requirements, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Manage technical risk, schedule, and resource planning to deliver capabilities within tight timelines.
- Travel 25%+ to test sites, manufacturing partners, customer locations, and operational environments.
