About the Role
Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and store materials within a warehouse. Follow safety procedures and support efficient inventory management across supply chain functions.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift equipment to transport materials across warehouse zones
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately
- Maintain organized storage areas using proper stacking techniques
- Follow safety protocols during all material handling tasks
- Inspect forklifts daily for operational safety and report issues
- Record inventory movements using tracking systems
- Support cycle counts and warehouse audits
- Comply with all warehouse safety and security policies
- Move materials between storage and production or shipping areas
- Handle hazardous materials in accordance with regulations
- Use personal protective equipment as required
- Respond to supervisor instructions for task prioritization
- Maintain clean and hazard-free workspaces
- Assist in receiving and inspecting delivered goods
- Verify shipment contents against packing lists
- Report damaged or missing items promptly
- Stack materials within height and weight limits
- Coordinate with team members during high-volume periods
- Follow color-coded labeling and bin location systems
- Support packing and unpacking of sensitive equipment
- Adhere to chain-of-custody procedures for tracked items
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed
- Participate in safety training sessions
- Maintain accurate logs for equipment use
- Assist in organizing warehouse layout improvements
