Skyworks is looking for a Wafer Fab Quality Assurance (QA) Intern to join our manufacturing quality team. You will work on quality initiatives supporting our Newbury Park team and collaborate with our quality team in Woburn, MA. This role focuses on driving quality improvements in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.
What You'll Do
- Support quality digital transformation initiatives to accelerate automation expansion and AI integration
- Work with QA Engineers to help address issues in assembly/test and offshore bumping facilities
- Generate non-conforming material reports (NCMR)
- Perform routine electrostatic discharge (ESD) verification
- Harmonize procedures between Newbury Park and Woburn sites
- Support process failure mode and effect analysis (PFMEA) reviews
- Drive efficiency improvements within the QA team
- Support IATF 16949 activities
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Engineering or Science with interest in the semiconductor industry
- Available for 3 months during May - August 2026
- Proficient in MS Office tools
- Familiar with machine learning concepts
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Self-driven and able to work independently
Nice to Have
- Background or knowledge in solid state physics, such as p-n junctions, bipolar transistors, MOS/FET/HEMT transistors
Team & Environment
You will work with the Newbury Park QA Team and interact with members from our quality team in Woburn, MA. The environment is fast-paced with a focus on global collaboration and minimal management layers.
Benefits & Compensation
- Hourly compensation: USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour (typical range for Engineering interns)
