About the Role

Innovative Computer Solutions Inc – Jonas Software is seeking a VP of Sales & Marketing to lead our revenue strategy and drive growth. You will be responsible for scaling our sales organization, expanding into new territories, and strengthening the marketing engine for our suite of POS, ecommerce, and payment solutions designed for independent wine and liquor retailers. You will report directly to the company President and serve as a key member of our Executive Team.

What You'll Do

  • Develop a comprehensive business plan and sales strategy to meet company sales goals and profitability targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and be accountable for the performance and professional development of the sales team.
  • Support the sales team in effectively closing leads and developing new prospect pipelines.
  • Initiate and coordinate the development of action plans to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one reviews with sales team members to build effective communication and identify training needs.
  • Provide timely and accurate performance feedback to senior management.
  • Manage sales pipeline data and reporting.
  • Assist all sales personnel in preparing proposals and presentations.
  • Control expenses to meet established budget guidelines.
  • Adhere to and clearly communicate all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes within the team.
  • Interview, recommend, and hire sales team personnel based on criteria agreed upon with senior management.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience in POS, payments, retail technology, or SaaS.
  • Proven success leading both sales and marketing functions simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen and financial understanding.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communicator and coach with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • A track record of successfully opening new geographic markets and scaling regional field sales teams.
  • Proven leadership ability to motivate and drive direct reports.
  • Results-driven and self-motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude and determination to ‘close the deal.’
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with senior levels of an organization.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong Salesforce discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence actions and gain the support of others to meet objectives.
  • A strong sense of integrity and trustworthiness.

Nice to Have

  • Strong understanding of merchant services, interchange, and payment processing.
  • Experience selling into independent retailers—experience in the wine & liquor industry is a strong plus.
