Responsibilities

  • Create and communicate a step-by-step technology modernization roadmap aligned with product, clinical, and business objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance to executive leadership on architecture choices, AI integration, and cloud infrastructure investments.
  • Lead the migration of an outdated .NET system to current .NET 8/9+ standards while maintaining uninterrupted clinical operations.
  • Oversee the replacement of outdated embedded user interfaces with a modern, accessible front-end framework compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA standards, contributing code directly when appropriate.
  • Drive the development of mobile companion applications to enhance clinician experience and streamline patient workflows, managing execution even if not coding directly.
  • Gradually transition from monolithic services to a scalable, multi-tenant service architecture as demand increases.
  • Take full accountability for HIPAA Security Rule compliance and lead efforts toward achieving SOC 2 Type II certification, including coordination with external auditors.
  • Integrate security best practices into product and design decisions, emphasizing multi-factor authentication, encryption, and secure-by-default configurations.
  • Deliver AI-powered features for clinicians by leveraging leading third-party models and vendors, focusing on applied integration rather than model development.
  • Promote the use of AI-assisted development tools across engineering while upholding strict privacy, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish the core infrastructure for a scalable data and analytics platform to support future business growth.
  • Develop current engineers into a high-performing team and lead recruitment efforts as the organization expands.
  • Serve as a consistent, hands-on leader for an engineering team ready for dedicated technical leadership.
  • Act as the primary technology representative when engaging with customers, partners, auditors, and the Board of Directors.

Other

  • Initial 6–12 months will require substantial travel to a Southeast US hub, followed by ongoing travel of approximately 20% of the time.
  • Candidates must sign a non-disclosure agreement early in the hiring process to gain access to detailed company information, financials, and investment thesis from the CEO and the Brydon deal team.
