Responsibilities
- Ensures efficient delivery of client services within budgetary guidelines.
- Evaluates client needs, oversees service provision, and contributes to program development, assessment, and outreach.
- Designs and executes program strategies aligned with departmental objectives.
- Leads volunteer management, including orientation, training, and ongoing support in line with organizational quality standards.
- Maintains consistent communication with clients and health partners to align programs with community demands.
- Serves as the main point of contact connecting clients, healthcare providers, community services, and internal teams.
- Monitors and reports program outcomes and team performance to supervisors and stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Supports financial integrity by managing assigned program budgets.
- Prepares financial and statistical reports for internal review and compliance with funder requirements.
- Conducts emergency preparedness drills as per organizational policy.
- Attends and contributes to interdisciplinary team meetings as needed.
- Operates in compliance with organizational quality, risk management standards, and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Completes required health and safety training, including WHMIS, and applies learning in daily operations.
- Reports all workplace incidents promptly according to legal requirements and internal procedures.
Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma in a health or social science field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in community or health care settings.
- Proven ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and discretion.
- Familiarity with local health and social services networks and community resources, with a track record of building community partnerships.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet competing deadlines.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation.
- Skilled in problem-solving and adapting to shifting priorities under time constraints.
- Proficient in using Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Detail-oriented with accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
- Must provide a current and original criminal record check upon hire.
Nice to Have
- 1 to 2 years of experience in program planning and evaluation is advantageous.
- Prior experience managing volunteer programs is beneficial.
- Familiarity with not-for-profit healthcare operations is preferred.
- French language proficiency is an asset in designated French-speaking regions.
