Pinal County, AZ is seeking a Volunteer Park Host to support the Peralta Regional Park. In this volunteer role, you will host the Open Space, Trail, and park system for residents and visitors, performing duties that ensure a safe and enjoyable park experience.
What You'll Do
- Interact with park visitors and campers, answering questions about regulations, fees, and rules.
- Engage with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
- Perform light maintenance, landscaping, and litter collection.
- Verify overnight visitors adhere to self-pay rules.
- Provide weekly activity reports to the Pinal County Open Space and Trails Department.
- Report park violations to the Pinal County Open Space and Trails Department.
What We're Looking For
- Able to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the necessary skills.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Knowledge of camping regulations, fee schedules, and park rules.
- The ability to work independently to complete daily activities according to a work schedule.
- Ability to maintain accurate activity reports and park violation records.
Nice to Have
- A commitment to volunteering from October through April.
- A valid Arizona State Driver's License may be required.

Reports to the Pinal County Open Space and Trails Department.

Work Mode
This is an onsite volunteer position located at Peralta Regional Park in Gold Canyon, Arizona.
Pinal County requires pre-employment screening, which includes a Motor Vehicle Record check, a comprehensive background check (encompassing employment, education, and criminal history), and drug testing for safety-sensitive roles. Criminal convictions do not automatically disqualify candidates from employment.
