VetsEZ is hiring a Senior VistA MUMPS Developer for a remote role contributing to the Department of Veterans Affairs Health Data Management project. You will manage software products and system integrations with a focus on the VistA electronic health record system. This position requires the candidate to reside within the continental US.
What You'll Do
- Write, modify, and maintain clean, scalable MUMPS code for the VistA system.
- Implement new functionalities based on user requirements and propose system enhancements.
- Maintain system performance and address security vulnerabilities.
- Integrate VistA with other healthcare systems, ensuring seamless data exchange using HL7 and other protocols.
- Design, develop, and manage databases within the VistA environment.
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and communicate system functionalities to users.
- Keep up to date with MUMPS programming and healthcare IT advancements.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in IT and/or Federal Government contracting.
- Proven experience as a MUMPS developer within VistA.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- An ability to understand front-end users' requirements and a problem-solving attitude.
- Results-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality software on time.
- Ability to obtain a government clearance.
Nice to Have
- SAFe/Scrum certification is preferred.
