About the Role

Mass General Brigham Community Physicians, Inc. is hiring a Virtual Registered Nurse (VRN) to deliver hospital-level acute care directly into patients' homes using advanced technology and remote monitoring. This part-time role is based in a state-of-the-art command center, where you'll collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary Home Hospital team.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments, admissions, discharges, and episodic visits.
  • Monitor real-time patient data and escalate or intervene according to clinical protocols.
  • Serve as the patient’s primary virtual point of contact, responding promptly to needs and clinical concerns via remote technology.
  • Apply strong clinical judgment and critical thinking across a broad acute care population.
  • Provide medication education, assist with administration guidance, and coordinate with pharmacy teams.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary Home Hospital team to deliver timely, coordinated patient care.
  • Support patients and families through communication, education, and remote care planning.
  • Document all care in Epic in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage incoming patient concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up.

What We're Looking For

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Massachusetts RN license.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 3 years recent bedside experience required.

Nice to Have

  • BSN preferred.
  • Emergency experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with telehealth, remote patient monitoring, or start-up/innovation environments.
  • Proficiency with Epic, Microsoft Teams/Outlook, and web-based communication tools.

Work Mode
